Attorney Jeff Cario founded the firm more than 20 years ago after working as an assistant state attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida. He has practiced in the areas of family law and criminal defense since 1987 and is certified by The Florida Bar as a marital and family law specialist. Mr. Cario usually encourages his clients to save time and money by trying mediation first, but he is also very comfortable in the courtroom and does not shy away from litigation. Mr. Cario is also a board-certified family law specialist.
Attorney Kimberly Scarano has 20 years of experience. Ms. Scarano joined Jeffrey P. Cario, P.A. in 2015 after working for seven years as a senior attorney at the Florida Department of Children and Families. Prior to that, she worked as an assistant state attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. She has a wealth of knowledge on criminal and family law, as well as great insights into the inner workings of the Florida legal system.
